A rarity for Netflix. The streaming company has cancelled Lilyhammer after three seasons.
Actor Steven Van Zandt confirmed that there wont be a fourth season of the crime series as “business got too complicated”:
“Lilyhammer RIP. Not my decision. Let’s just say for now the business got too complicated. Very proud of our 24 shows. New ideas on the way.”

A new home for Lilyhammer doesn’t appear to be on the cards.
Being cancelled by Netflix – the traditional rescuer of cancelled shows – leaves few realistic options for Lilyhammer to be continued elsewhere, while Zandt already appears to have other projects in the pipeline with his “new ideas on the way” comment.
RIP.

No No NOOOOOOO! We LOVE Lillyhammer and have been turning friends onto it slowly as it’s on Netflix. What a great show it was! What is up with Netflix cancelling it? Nevertheless, the creators were merciful to sort of tie up everything just in case they didn’t return so please, if you haven’t seen this little gem yet, do! You will love the fish out of water story! Kudos to all the actors including Van Zandt who nailed it as always!
